Early Help MASSH Practitioner, Bury

Pay rate to £20.09 per hour

Contract role

We are recruiting for an experienced Early Help Practitioner to work in a MASSH team in Bury Council.

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Early Help Practitioner to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding and Support Hub (MASSH) in Bury. This is a vital role in our Early Help service, helping ensure children, young people, and families receive timely and appropriate support.

This role is based on the Early Help Practitioners job description but is specific to the functions and responsibilities within the MASSH.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen and triage incoming requests for support to the MASSH.
  • Gather and analyse information from a range of partner agencies.
  • Use the history and lived experiences of children and families to inform decision-making.
  • Recognise indicators of risk and elevate concerns appropriately in line with safeguarding procedures.
  • Formulate clear, evidence-based recommendations in line with Bury’s threshold guidance.
  • Produce in-depth and timely assessments that reflect the needs and strengths of families.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Early Help and how it supports children and families.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate decision making.
  • Contribute to a multi-agency approach to safeguarding and early intervention.
