The role

The Finance Business Partner plays a vital role in driving the business forward by understanding operations deeply and supporting strategic decisions through MI analysis. This involves working closely with stakeholders, analyzing results, and providing insights to challenge and inform business strategies.

Key responsibilities

1. Provide commercial insight and analysis of results, identifying trends and challenging performance.
2. Support decision-making with timely, detailed insights on business performance.
3. Manage quarterly claims inflation forecasts, producing monthly and 5-year views, considering legislative and economic impacts.
4. Drive process simplification, automation, and improvements.
5. Support the business with insights and business case development for new opportunities.

The duties are not exhaustive and may evolve with business needs.

Qualifications, skills, and experience

1. Experience in the commercial, financial, and insurance sectors.
2. Qualified Accountant preferred (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
3. Background in financial services and knowledge of Specialty Insurance practices.
4. Experience with TM1.
5. Understanding of data structures and strategic data utilization.
6. Knowledge of industry regulations and broker channels.
7. Project management qualification preferred.
8. Understanding of financial controls and management accounting.
