About The Role

This is a permanent position with a salary of £32,291-£37,879 per annum. The working hours are 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday (shifts TBC). With 300 sites across the country serving 12 million residents and 40,000 businesses, we need an extensive fleet to provide our services.

What will I be doing?

• You’ll be the immediate line manager for our drivers, allocating work, delivering instructions, monitoring their progress, and ensuring completion at the end of each day.
• You’ll handle grievance or disciplinary matters.
• You’ll ensure vehicle maintenance and driver checks are properly carried out, striving for continuous improvement and increased profitability.
• Managing people, keeping accurate records, and resolving queries and problems will be part of your responsibilities.
• Knowledge of the Waste or Transport industry and good numerical skills are also needed.

What are the requirements/qualifications?

• Ideally, you’ll have a National CPC and proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing.
• A friendly, approachable manner and strong teamwork skills.
• A full driving licence is essential.
