Job description

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a General Sales Manager to join the management team at our Toyota Dealership in Grantham. This is a full-time role, working an average of 5 days per week, Monday to Sunday, between 08:30 and 18:00, based on a 40-hour week. The rota includes one weekday off each week and every other weekend off.

We offer an excellent package including a company car and benefits, with an OTE of £75,000.

The successful individual will possess a positive, hands-on approach, with the ability to lead and motivate a developing sales team. You will be expected to achieve sales targets for new and used cars within operating and financial guidelines.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Build trust, communicate effectively, and exceed customer expectations to ensure an industry-leading buying experience. Handle customer queries and complaints effectively.
  • Support the sales team in daily operations such as customer contact, sales funnel management, deal building and closing, vehicle preparation, and maintaining stock levels.
  • Drive the sales process and support the team in achieving KPIs for unit sales, profit per unit, finance penetration, and add-on products to meet sales and profit forecasts.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and provide reports on sales activities, ensuring accurate sales forecasts.
  • Ensure the sales team collects all customer contact and vehicle data to maximize the quality of the customer database, adhering to FCA obligations.
About You
  • Potentially an existing sales manager, sales controller, or retail manager seeking new challenges or better rewards.
  • Driven to push the department forward, achieving KPIs and brand standards.
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding results and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong management and leadership skills, with a winning mentality and passion for the brand.
  • Motor trade, automotive, or dealership experience is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
