We are currently recruiting for a General Sales Manager to join our management team at the Toyota Dealership in Grantham. This is a full-time role, working an average of 5 days per week, across Monday to Sunday, between 08:30 – 18:00, based on a 40-hour week. The rota includes one weekday off each week and alternate weekends off.

Excellent package including a company car & benefits with an OTE of £75,000.

The ideal candidate will possess a positive, hands-on approach, with the ability to lead and motivate a developing sales team. You will be expected to achieve sales targets for new and used cars within defined operating and financial guidelines.

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Build trust, communicate effectively, and exceed customer expectations, ensuring an industry-leading buying experience. Handle customer queries and complaints effectively.
  2. Support the sales team in daily operations, including customer contact, sales funnel management, deal building and closing, vehicle preparation, and stock management.
  3. Drive the sales process and support the team in achieving KPIs for unit sales, profit per unit, finance penetration, and add-on products to meet sales and profit forecasts.
  4. Complete all paperwork accurately and provide reports on sales activities to ensure accurate sales forecasts.
  5. Ensure the sales team collects customer contact and vehicle data accurately to maximize the customer database, adhering to FCA obligations.

About you

  1. You may be an existing sales manager, sales controller, or retail manager seeking new challenges and career growth.
  2. You will have the drive and talent to advance the department and achieve KPI’s and brand standards.
  3. You must demonstrate a profitable and successful track record of delivering results and customer satisfaction.
  4. Strong management and leadership skills, a winning mentality, and a passion for the brand are essential.
  5. Motor trade, automotive, or dealership experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
