They are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team and play a pivotal role in expanding their customer base and market presence.

Job Overview

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships within the injection moulding sector. You will work closely with the sales and technical teams to identify growth opportunities, develop tailored solutions for clients, and manage the entire sales process from prospecting through to contract negotiation. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the growth of the company and make a significant impact on our success.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development: Identify and target new business opportunities in the injection moulding market. Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners. Ensure excellent customer service and foster long-term partnerships.

Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.

Sales Presentations & Negotiations: Lead presentations and meetings with potential clients. Negotiate contracts and pricing in line with company policies and margins.

Collaboration with Technical Teams: Work closely with the engineering and technical teams to understand product offerings and deliver customized solutions to clients.

Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and technological advancements in injection moulding. Use market intelligence to inform business development strategies.

Reporting & Administration: Provide regular reports on sales activities, forecasts, and performance to senior management. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales pipeline.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in business development or sales within the manufacturing sector, preferably in injection moulding or a related industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Strong negotiation and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.

A good understanding of CRM systems and sales reporting tools.

A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Desirable

Strong understanding of the injection moulding process, product applications, and industry-specific challenges.

Experience in technical sales or working closely with engineering teams.

Knowledge of the plastics manufacturing sector and its key players.

Relevant degree or qualifications in engineering, business, or a related field.
