The Role – It’s Yours to Shape

As Commercial Manager, you won’t just follow a playbook — you’ll write it. You’ll take the lead in leasing out the UK’s first fleet of Class 93 tri-mode locomotives, developing strategies, spotting opportunities, and building relationships that will define how this product hits the market.

You’ll be the figurehead for growth, revenue, and reputation — playing a pivotal role in how this innovative business carves its place in the future of UK rail.

Your Mission:
  • Take full ownership of the Class 93 leasing strategy — from pipeline development to deal closure
  • Lead end-to-end commercial activities, including tendering, contract negotiation, and customer onboarding
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new leasing opportunities across rail sectors and operators
  • Develop creative marketing and business development initiatives to elevate market presence
  • Build trusted, long-term partnerships across the industry
  • Be the commercial voice of a product that’s setting new standards in sustainability and performance
  • Represent the company at industry events and uncover trends to stay ahead of the curve
Who You Are:
  • You bring experience in rail or aerospace leasing (5+ years) — and the drive to build something exceptional
  • Commercially sharp with a track record in business development and securing new deals
  • Confident negotiating with clients, navigating tenders, and influencing stakeholders
