Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking an Assistant Manager in Digital Tax Consulting to lead the e-invoicing transformation. The role focuses on end-to-end delivery of e-invoicing engagements, from solution design to go-live, while building strong client relationships in a global context.

You will work with a team on governance, risk management and quality, with opportunities to expand into VAT solutions and ERP program work as required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering tax technology or e-invoicing implementation projects in a consulting, professional services, or in-house tax tech environment.
• Knowledge of e-invoicing and e-reporting regimes and ability to speak credibly about mandates across jurisdictions.
• Hands-on experience implementing/integrating at least one e-invoicing or tax compliance platform.
• Proven ability to problem solve and manage budget and risk/quality on projects.
• Strong stakeholder management, internal and external.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Understanding of engagement risk, quality standards and regulatory expectations in professional services.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end delivery of e-invoicing projects, managing scope, budget, risk and quality across the full project lifecycle.
• Assist senior team in maintaining alliances with third-party technology providers.
• Interpret country-specific e-invoicing mandates globally and translate into practical delivery actions for clients.
• Support on managing engagement risk and quality: apply firm policies, ensure documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to new e-invoicing opportunities, proposals and bids.
• Help refine delivery methodology and build reusable accelerators and tools.
