Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician in Cardiff. The role focuses on installing, maintaining and repairing E&I equipment across process and packaging plants, with involvement in DCS/SIS/PLC systems and device networks.

Responsibilities include planned maintenance, CMMS logging, safety compliance, and leadership of small contractor teams during shutdowns. A strong background in instrumentation, calibration, fault-finding and electrical power systems to

Qualifications

Strong instrumentation knowledge including calibration and fault-finding.
Reading technical drawings and data sheets.
Experience with DCS, SIS, PLC maintenance and basic ladder logic.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair E&I equipment across process and packaging plant.
Perform planned and preventative maintenance on schedule and record work in CMMS.
Support DCS, SIS, PLC, and Aspen systems and their connected devices and networks.
Work safely to permits, isolations, COSHH, risk assessments, and SOPs.
Supervise small contractor teams during shutdowns.
Participate in RCA, RCM, LEAN, PHA, and PSSR activities.
Develop maintenance procedures, method statements, and troubleshooting guides.
Assist with spares specification and storeroom inventory control.
