Job summary

Adepto Technical Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join a large North East industrial site operating in a COMAH environment. The role covers reactive and planned maintenance across electrical and instrumentation systems to support safe and efficient plant operation.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in industrial E&I maintenance, with CompEx and 18th Edition qualifications desirable.

Qualifications

Experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance within an industrial environment.
Experience with COMAH regulations and safety standards is advantageous.
CompEx certification is required or highly desirable.
Knowledge of PLCs, control systems, or instrumentation software is advantageous.
Strong ability to interpret technical data and resolve plant issues.

Responsibilities

Carry out maintenance, calibration, testing, and repair of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Diagnose faults and ensure timely resolution to maintain plant performance and availability.
Complete all work in line with legal requirements and safety standards.
Use CMMS systems to manage and record maintenance activities.
Install, inspect, and maintain plant equipment to high standards and timescales.
Identify defects, alarms, and unsafe conditions, ensuring appropriate isolation.
