Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a maintenance engineer for site-based roles in Guildford / Basingstoke. You will perform day-to-day maintenance across mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems, plan shutdowns, and use CMMS to prioritize work.

The role requires a background in instrumentation or electrical trades (NVQ/apprenticeship), knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR, energy or process environments, and strong communication to drive safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• NVQ or apprenticeship in instrumentation or electrical required.
• Knowledge of plant maintenance across mechanical, electrical and control & instrumentation.
• Experience in energy, process or industrial environments.
• Understanding ATEX/DSEAR and hazardous area requirements.
• Experience with shutdowns, maintenance planning and CMMS.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day maintenance activities, shutdowns, and planning.
• Work across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
• Use CMMS to plan, prioritise, and track work.
• Support plant improvements and reliability initiatives.
• Ensure all work meets regulatory and safety requirements.
• Support reporting, scheduling, and resource planning.
• Drive maintenance performance, safety, and compliance standards.
