Job summary

Class Act is recruiting Secondary Supply Teachers for flexible short-term and long-term roles across Somerset and surrounding areas. You will teach across subjects in different secondary schools, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining safeguarding standards.

Roles offer variety, weekly PAYE pay, and the chance to support pupils’ learning in dynamic environments while building classroom management and adaptability across settings.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in secondary schools across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong classroom management and adaptability.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
• Flexibility to work across different schools and subjects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across different subjects following the school’s curriculum and policies.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Mark work and provide feedback where required.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and progress.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and promote the welfare of pupils.
