Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a motivated Secondary Supply Teacher to cover a range of subjects across KS3/KS4, delivering high‑quality lessons and ensuring learning continuity while teachers are absent.

You will hold QTS or equivalent, be confident with classroom management, and adapt to different year groups while safeguarding pupils. Roles offer flexibility across Moreton‑in‑Marsh and surrounding areas with weekly PAYE pay.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• Experience teaching in secondary school settings.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management.
• Flexibility across subjects and year groups.
• Professional, reliable and organised approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage pupils quickly and effectively.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 using pre-prepared plans.
• Teach within subject specialism or provide general cover.
• Maintain a positive, well‑managed classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learners.
• Support pupil engagement and progress during short-term and longer-term cover.
• Provide feedback to teaching and pastoral staff on pupil behaviour and learning.
• Contribute positively to the wider school environment during supply placements.
