Job summary

TimePlan Education is recruiting an Experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Redbridge, East London, for an ASAP start. This full-time long-term opportunity offers daily rates dependent on experience and the chance to support learners across literacy and numeracy.

You will work with the class teacher, provide 1:1 and small-group support, help create an inclusive classroom, and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
• Strong understanding of classroom support and pupil development.
• Be confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, reliable and adaptable.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Available to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with day-to-day teaching and learning.
• Work with pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
• Support literacy, numeracy and wider learning.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs and SEND.
• Assist with classroom activities, preparation and organisation.
• Help promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and encouraging classroom environment.
