Job summary

Educo Recruitment is seeking Teaching Assistants to work across East London, including Waltham Forest, Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets. The roles are full‑time, long‑term and available for immediate and September starts.

You will support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in groups, assist teachers, and contribute to an inclusive learning environment. Successful candidates will have experience with children or young people, a proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to obtain

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils in classrooms or similar settings.
• Ability to communicate clearly with teachers, pupils and parents.
• Willingness to obtain or maintain an Enhanced DBS via Update Service.
• Positive, patient and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Help pupils stay engaged and make progress with learning.
• Support children with varying learning needs and behaviours.

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in a range of Primary Schools across East London, including Waltham Forest, Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets. The Role

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
• Helping pupils remain engaged and make progress with their learning
• Supporting children with varying academic, behavioural and additional learning needs
• Encouraging confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
• Contributing to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

We're Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people (school‑based experience is desirable but not essential)
• A positive, patient and proactive attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliability, professionalism and a willingness to learn
• A genuine passion for supporting young people
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
