Job summary

TimePlan Education is working with a welcoming school in Redbridge, East London, seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. You will support the class teacher with day-to-day activities, work with pupils individually and in small groups, and help develop literacy and numeracy while supporting pupils with SEND.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
• Confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Available to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with day-to-day teaching and learning.
• Work with pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
• Support children with literacy, numeracy and wider learning.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs and SEND.
• Assist with classroom activities, preparation and organisation.
• Help promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and encouraging classroom environment.
