Job summary

N Family Club in Winchester is hiring a Flexi Kitchen Assistant to support our Chef in running the state-of-the-art nursery kitchen. You will help prepare fresh, nutritious meals for children and assist with cooking, cleaning and compliance to high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a nursery or commercial kitchen.
• Good knowledge of food allergens and child nutrition.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred (on onboarding possible).
• Passion for food and nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cooking fresh meals for children with flexibility.
• Pot-wash and maintain clean crockery and equipment.
• Follow nutritionist recipes to ensure vitamins and nutrients.
• Cater to dietary needs and allergies safely.
• Prepare daily lunch and smoothie for nursery team.
• Manage kitchen paperwork and daily hygiene diaries.
• Order food supplies and rotate stock.
• Adhere to H&S policies and maintain 5-star hygiene.
• Cover and lead kitchen in the chef's absence.
• Build strong relationships with nursery team, children and parents.
