Job summary

Jago Consultants is seeking a Service Advisor in the Dorchester area of Dorset to join a friendly motor garage team. The role is Mon-Fri, 35 hours per week with Saturday 8am-1pm on a rota paid as overtime; salary is around £26,000 plus £8,000 bonus.

You will handle customer service, explain repair work and costs, upsell where appropriate and manage job cards, invoices and records. Full driving licence required and strong customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Advisor within a motor garage.
• Full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Explain service and repair work to customers in a professional manner.
• Advise on estimated repair costs and work to be undertaken.
• Promote additional products as appropriate to customers’ needs.
• Inform customers about timescales and collection arrangements.
• Create job cards on the in-house system.
• Update customer and vehicle records.
• Document warranty work per manufacturer policy.
• Prepare and complete invoices.
