Job summary

Invigorate is seeking an IT Support Technician for its York Head Office. You will join a close-knit digital team, supporting colleagues across the business and contributing to a wide range of IT projects while maintaining and improving the company’s technology infrastructure.

The role requires problem-solving, a customer-focused approach and strong communication skills, with occasional travel to Slough and Livingston sites for on-site support.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confident supporting Windows and macOS environments.
• Familiar with Unix/Linux (desirable but not essential).
• Logical problem-solver who enjoys researching issues and identifying effective solutions.
• Customer-focused with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Holder of a full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve IT support tickets efficiently.
• Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, remote desktop and in person.
• Research, source and order IT hardware and software.
• Install, maintain and support IT equipment, networks and associated systems.
• Deliver, collect and set up equipment across multiple departments.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
• Carry out hardware repairs, upgrades and routine maintenance.
• Create and manage user accounts across a range of business systems.
• Assist with quality assurance testing for new systems and software releases.
• Support ongoing IT improvement projects as required.
