Job summary

Harvey Nash Group in Manchester is seeking an IT Technician / Field Service Engineer to deliver remote, on-site and office IT support across Greater Manchester. The role requires strong technical ability and excellent communication, with roughly 50% travel to customer sites weekly.

You will manage cloud migrations, network upgrades and hardware installations, providing proactive, end-to-end support and building lasting customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in a 2nd line/field engineer or IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and modern management.
• Good understanding of Windows desktop and server environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote, on-site and telephone technical support.
• Travel to customer sites across Greater Manchester, about 50% weekly.
• Deliver responsive, effective and personable technical support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
• Implement and manage cloud and on-premise solutions.
• Support projects including cloud migrations and network upgrades.
• Proactively monitor customer networks and respond to alerts.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
