Job summary

Aspire People is seeking qualified English teachers to cover across East Birmingham, including Small Heath, Bordesley Green, Sparkhill, Yardley and surrounding areas. We welcome experienced teachers and ECTs, offering daily supply, short-term, weekly bookings, and long-term opportunities.

You will deliver English language and literature across KS3/KS4, support GCSE groups, teach Shakespeare and modern drama, and help develop pupils' literacy and writing skills.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS required with strong English knowledge.
• Experience delivering lessons in a secondary school.
• Adaptable, reliable and able to support pupils with varied abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Support GCSE groups with reading, writing and analysis.
• Teach Shakespeare, poetry, prose and modern drama.
• Develop pupils' literacy and written expression.
• Manage behaviour and maintain positive classroom routines.
• Flexibly take on supply, short-term or long-term bookings.
