Aspire People is recruiting a qualified English Teacher for full-time, long-term assignments across East Birmingham. Roles involve delivering KS3/KS4 English, supporting GCSE preparation, and maintaining a consistent five-day timetable.

Ideal candidates are experienced in secondary education with KS3/KS4 knowledge, capable of planning, marking, and providing constructive feedback, while supporting SEND and EAL learners. Flexible locations in Small Heath and surrounding areas are considered.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS recognised teaching status.
• Experience delivering English in a secondary school context.
• Strong knowledge of KS3 and KS4 English curriculum.
• Confident teaching English Language and English Literature.
• Available for full-time five-day-per-week assignments.
• Ability to plan, mark and assess effectively.
• Professional, reliable and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver English Language and Literature lessons across KS3/KS4.
• Support GCSE pupils with reading, writing, analysis and exam prep.
• Take responsibility for a full-time timetable, Mon–Fri.
• Plan engaging, differentiated lessons and assess progress.
• Mark work and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain classroom expectations and manage behaviour.
• Support pupils with SEND and EAL requirements.
• Collaborate with English departments and school staff.
