Job summary

Aspire People is seeking qualified English Teachers for full-time, long-term assignments across East Birmingham. Roles include teaching English Language and Literature to KS3/KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to department work.

We welcome experienced teachers and ECTs who can plan, mark, assess and support GCSE preparation, in a supportive recruitment partner framework with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Qualified English Teacher with experience in secondary schools.
• Strong knowledge of KS3 and KS4 English curriculum.
• Ability to teach English Language and English Literature.
• Availability for full-time, five-day-per-week assignments.
• Planning, marking and assessment skills; classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Support GCSE pupils with reading, writing, analysis, and exam prep.
• Take responsibility for a full-time timetable, Monday to Friday.
• Plan engaging, differentiated lessons and provide feedback.
• Maintain clear classroom expectations and manage behaviour.
• Support pupils with SEND and EAL requirements.
• Collaborate with English departments and school staff.
• Possible longer-term planning and departmental duties.
