Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting an English Teacher for a secondary school in the B18 area of Birmingham, with a full-time position starting Monday 2 November and continuing until the end of the autumn term.

You will deliver English lessons across KS3 and KS4, support GCSE preparation and help pupils develop reading, writing and analytical skills while maintaining high standards of behaviour and pupil achievement.

Qualifications

• Holds valid teaching qualification (QTS or QTLS) for secondary education.
• Capable of delivering English across KS3/KS4 and GCSE preparation.
• Strong classroom management and high expectations for pupil outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for KS3/KS4.
• Teach English Language and Literature per schemes of work.
• Support GCSE exam preparation and develop reading, writing, analytical skills.
• Maintain strong classroom routines and effective behaviour management.
• Collaborate with English department and school staff.
