Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Deputy Service Manager to lead our residential service, guiding a dynamic team to improve independence and quality of life for the people we support. Starting pay between £15.35 and £17.35 per hour, with a 37.5-hour contract.

Typical shifts include 2x7:30–21:30 and 1x7:30–15:30, seven days a week. The role involves managing a team, developing person-centred support plans, recruiting and supervising staff, and supporting the Registered Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in care settings.
• Ability to develop person-centred support plans and conduct needs assessments.
• Experience with medication competencies and audits.
• Experience recruiting, inducting and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to enhance independence and quality of life for those supported.
• Develop and implement person-centred care plans and assessments.
• Recruit, induct, supervise and support care staff; conduct supervisions and appraisals.
• Support the Registered Manager and participate in on-call duties.
