Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Deputy Service Manager to lead our residential service, guiding a dynamic team to improve independence and quality of life for the people we support. Starting pay between £15.35 and £17.35 per hour, with a 37.5-hour contract.

Typical shifts include 2x7:30–21:30 and 1x7:30–15:30, seven days a week. The role involves managing a team, developing person-centred support plans, recruiting and supervising staff, and supporting the Registered Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in care settings.
• Ability to develop person-centred support plans and conduct needs assessments.
• Experience with medication competencies and audits.
• Experience recruiting, inducting and supervising staff.

Deputy Service Managers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Deputy Service Manager to join us in leading our residential service. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

Our Deputy Service Managers will be responsible for managing a team of colleagues with the purpose of helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives. You could be developing and implementing person centred support plans, conducting care needs assessments, recruiting and inducting new colleagues, completing supervisions/appraisals, completing medication competencies and medication audits, attending mutli-disciplinary meetings, completing reports and generally assisting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of our service. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Deputy Service Managers play a central role in team leadership and have a hands-on approach to care management.

You will also take part in the on-call rota (although this may be subject to change depending on the needs of the service).

We’re interested in our Deputy Service Managers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Deputy Service Manager should have previous experience in a care management role and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals with autism, Learning disability's and complex health needs.
