Job summary

The British Heart Foundation is hiring a part-time Sales Assistant for our Tuebrook furniture store. You’ll join a busy, community-focused team working 12 hours per week, including weekends.

You’ll provide first-class customer service, assist with merchandising, tills, and donations, and collaborate with the E‑Commerce team to boost online sales. No formal retail experience required—your energy, reliability and passion for sustainability matter.

Qualifications

• Retail experience isn't essential; passion, energy and customer service matter.
• Be confident in a team and guide volunteers on the shop floor.
• Work well under pressure and on your own initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail in everything you do.
• Positive, creative, customer-focused and passionate about sustainability.
• Comfortable with tech; able to use till, PC, smartphone and email with ease.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, providing exceptional service and promoting our charity's mission.
• Organise and merchandise donated stock creatively to maximise sales potential.
