Job summary

British Heart Foundation in Didcot is seeking a Sales Assistant for a part-time, community-based retail role. You’ll deliver first-class customer service, help merchandise donated stock, and support the E-Commerce team to boost online sales.

The role is 7 hours per week, requiring weekend and Bank Holiday flexibility, and can be physically demanding with lifting. You’ll join a busy, friendly team at a charity store focused on sustainability and community impact.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required; what counts is passion, energy and customer service
• Able to work well in a team and guide volunteers on the shop floor
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Able to lift and move donation items as part of the role

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, providing exceptional service and promoting the charity’s mission
• Organise and merchandise donated stock creatively to maximise sales potential
• Collaborate with the E-Commerce team to maximise online sales
• As a Keyholder, be the go-to person when no manager is on duty, ensuring great store experiences
