Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development, sales or a similar commercial role.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• A highly motivated, proactive and results-focused approach.
• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a sales team.
• Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and the ability to analyse and use data effectively.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a business development and sales plan to achieve company objectives.
• Carry out outbound sales calls and telemarketing activity to generate new opportunities.
• Manage client sales appointments and follow up on new business opportunities.
• Visit clients to understand their requirements and develop tailored solutions and proposals.
• Prepare quotations and proposals and secure new sales orders.
• Support customer trials and ensure opportunities progress to completion.
• Identify and target new markets and potential customers to expand the client base.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Prepare and present accurate sales reports, forecasts and performance updates to senior management.
