Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Product Consultant to own backlog maturity and drive MVP thinking from inception to delivery. You will lead agile ceremonies, plan workshops, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure valued outcomes across the project lifecycle.

You will also coach a small team, manage performance, and engage with clients to translate needs into actionable user stories while maintaining delivery momentum.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering bespoke software as part of an agile team for an external customer (client-facing).
• Defence sector experience is preferred.
• Active DV clearance is required.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle from analysis to live operation.
• Excellent workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to model as-is and to-be processes and gain buy-in.
• Strong backlog management and prioritisation to deliver MVP.
• Experience turning requirements into clear user stories for delivery.
• Proven ability to mentor juniors and coach teams.
• Experience contributing to sales activities (bids, proposals).
