Job summary

Kainos in the United Kingdom seeks a Product Consultant to own backlog maturity, drive MVP thinking, and articulate value to the team and stakeholders. You will lead agile ceremonies, run workshops, and support delivery across initiatives, while coaching staff and developing the team.

You will foster collaboration with client teams, manage expectations, and translate business needs into deliverable user stories within a high-performance delivery capability.

Qualifications

• Experience in bespoke software delivery within an agile external customer environment.
• Defence sector experience.
• Active DV clearance.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle from analysis to live operations.
• Excellent facilitator of workshops and leading stakeholder groups.
• Modelling As-is/To-be processes for buy-in.
• Stakeholder management experience.
• Experience in breaking down work into deliverable components and backlog management.
• Elicitation of functional, technical and non-functional requirements into user stories.
• Prioritisation techniques to refine the backlog and manage dependencies.
• Ability to deliver MVP within commercial constraints.
• Explain technical jargon to non-technical teams.
• Experience in client/supplier relationships and sales activities.
