Job summary

Kainos in the United Kingdom seeks a Product Consultant to own the team backlog from inception to delivery, driving MVP thinking and communicating value to the project team and stakeholders.

You will lead agile ceremonies, plan workshops with diverse stakeholders to achieve consensus, and actively participate in the Product capability while mentoring junior staff and managing performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in bespoke software delivery within an agile, client-facing environment.
• Defence sector experience.
• Active DV clearance.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle from analysis to live operations.
• Excellent facilitator of workshops to drive focused outcomes.
• Ability to model As-is and To-be business processes with stakeholder buy-in.
• Strong stakeholder management and adaptable communication styles.
• Experience breaking down work from inception to delivery and managing team backlog.
• Elicitation of functional, technical and non-functional requirements into user stories.
• Prioritisation to refine backlog and manage dependencies.
• Experience delivering MVP within commercial constraints.
• Experience in client/supplier relationships and contributing to bids/proposals.
• Experience mentoring juniors and developing teams.
• Ability to explain technical jargon to non-technical audiences.
