Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Product Consultant to take ownership of backlog maturity and feature delivery from inception through MVP and delivery. You will drive MVP thinking and clearly communicate value to your team, project team and stakeholders.

You will lead agile ceremonies, plan workshops with stakeholders, and contribute to product capability delivery. You will also manage, coach and develop a small team, focusing on performance and growth, while aligning with client needs and project timelines

Qualifications

• Experience in bespoke software delivery within an agile environment.
• Defence sector experience is preferred as part of the delivery context.
• Active DV clearance is required.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle from analysis to live operations.
• Excellent facilitator of workshops and stakeholder groups.
• Ability to model current and future business processes and present to stakeholders for buy-in.
• Experience in stakeholder management and tailoring communication for various audiences.
• Ability to break down work, manage backlog and ensure MVP-focused delivery.
• Elicitation of functional, technical and non-functional requirements and translating into user stories.
• Experience in prioritisation techniques and managing dependencies.
• Proven ability to work within commercial constraints and meet project deadlines.
• Strong user story writing skills ensuring consistency across the project.
• Experience building trusted relationships within and outside the delivery team.
• Experience in client/supplier relationships and identifying client needs.
• Experience contributing to sales activities such as bids or proposals.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior team members and wider community.
• Ability to explain technical jargon to non-technical teams.
