Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Product Consultant to lead backlog maturity, champion MVP thinking, and drive delivery with an agile team for client projects. You will facilitate workshops, engage diverse stakeholders, and help develop and coach junior staff within a collaborative, diverse environment.

You will operate in a client-facing role within a consultancy setting, contributing to the delivery of initiatives while maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering bespoke software as part of an agile delivery team for external customers (client-facing).
• Defence sector experience is highly desirable.
• Active DV clearance is required.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycles from analysis to live operations.
• Excellent workshop facilitation to drive focused outcomes with stakeholders.
• Able to model As-is and To-be business processes for stakeholder buy-in.
• Strong stakeholder management and adaptable communication styles.
• Experience breaking down work into deliverable pieces and managing team backlog.
• Proficient in eliciting functional, technical and non-functional requirements and translating to user stories.
• Skilled in backlog refinement, prioritisation, and dependency management.

Responsibilities

• Own the team backlog maturity from inception through delivery.
• Drive MVP thinking and communicate value to team and stakeholders.
• Lead agile ceremonies and run workshops with diverse stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior team members and coach the broader community.
• Collaborate across delivery teams and with client/supplier relationships to optimise outcomes.
