Job summary

4Leisure Recruitment Ltd in Enfield, North London is seeking an experienced Leisure Duty Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy leisure facility. You will supervise front-line staff, manage incidents and ensure high standards of safety, cleanliness and customer service.

This zero-hours role offers £17 per hour, paid fortnightly, with ongoing support from the 4Leisure team and exposure to a professional leisure environment.

Qualifications

• Valid NPLQ required.
• PPO qualification/certificate required.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience as Duty Manager, Leisure Duty Manager or similar role.
• Strong understanding of health and safety and leisure facility operations.
• Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operational management of the leisure facility.
• Supervise, support and motivate front-line leisure staff.
• Ensure effective shift handovers and smooth transitions between teams.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation across the site.
• Manage incidents effectively and complete accurate incident and accident reports.
• Administer first aid when required and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Maintain compliance with relevant leisure industry regulations and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and deal professionally with customer queries or concerns.
• Support the wider management team with the safe and efficient running of the facility.

About the Role

4Leisure is currently recruiting for an experienced Leisure Duty Manager to join a busy leisure facility in Enfield, North London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leisure professional looking for a flexible position within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the facility, supervising staff, managing incidents and ensuring consistently high standards of health and safety, cleanliness and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operational management of the leisure facility.
• Supervise, support and motivate front-line leisure staff.

Essential Requirements

• Valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
• Pool Plant Operator (PPO) qualification/certificate.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
• Previous experience working as a Duty Manager, Leisure Duty Manager or in a similar leisure management role.
• Strong understanding of health and safety, pool safety and leisure facility operations.
• Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills.
