Job summary

4Leisure Recruitment Ltd in West Sussex is seeking an experienced Leisure Duty Manager to join our temporary team, covering Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath. This full-time temporary role starts as soon as possible with potential to become permanent.

You will run the facility during shifts, supervise staff, handovers, ensure health and safety, complete incident reports, provide first aid, support lifeguards, and handle customer queries.

Qualifications

• NPLQ required.
• PPO qualification required.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Previous duty manager or supervisory experience in a leisure environment expected.
• Good communication skills and ability to lead a team.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Availability for early, middle and late shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Run the facility during your shift.
• Manage and support the team.
• Carry out staff handovers.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met.
• Check the cleanliness and general condition of the facility.
• Deal with incidents and complete reports.

Leisure Duty Manager - West Sussex

4Leisure are looking for experienced Duty Managers to join our temporary team, supporting leisure facilities in and around Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath.

This is a full-time temporary role, starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity for the role to potentially become permanent.

We're looking for someone who has previous Duty Manager experience in a leisure centre and is available to work a range of shifts.

Assignment Rate: £16 - £17 per hour, paid fortnightly.

Key Responsibilities

• Running the facility during your shift


• Managing and supporting the team


• Carrying out staff handovers


• Making sure health and safety standards are met


• Checking the cleanliness and general condition of the facility


• Dealing with incidents and completing reports


• Providing first aid when needed


• Supporting lifeguards and other staff


• Dealing with customer queries and any issues that come up


• Making sure procedures are followed

What We're Looking For

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification NPLQ


• Pool Plant Operator (PPO) qualification


• Enhanced DBS, or happy to obtain one


• Previous Duty Manager or supervisory experience in a leisure environment


• Good communication skills


• Confident managing a team


• Good knowledge of health and safety


• Available for early, middle and late shifts


• Available to work weekends
