Job summary

The Range is hiring a Duty Manager for our Northlands Pavement, Pitsea, Basildon store to help run daily operations and lead a high‑performing team. You’ll supervise customer service, merchandising, health & safety, and stock control, while coaching colleagues to deliver exceptional shopping experiences.

Working alongside the Store Manager and Deputy, you’ll motivate staff, maintain store standards, and ensure policies are followed in a fast‑paced retail environment across busy trading periods.

Qualifications

• Previous retail supervisory or team leader experience.
• Strong customer service focus and ability to resolve queries.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Hands-on and flexible approach with a calm under pressure mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations to ensure high standards.
• Lead and coach colleagues on the shop floor.
• Support opening and closing procedures and stock checks.
• Maintain merchandising and presentation standards.
• Monitor health & safety, compliance, and loss prevention.
• Resolve customer queries and manage queues during busy periods.
