Job summary

Whitbread in Basingstoke West is seeking a Duty Manager to keep the hotel running smoothly, lead shifts across departments and support guests with queries. This permanent, full-time role offers 40 hours per week at up to £13.86 per hour, with shifts including evenings and weekends.

No hotel experience is required; transferable leadership from retail, hospitality or customer service is welcome, and you'll have a clear path to higher responsibilities within Premier Inn.

Qualifications

• No hotel experience required.
• Experience in retail, supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, leisure, healthcare or customer service is welcome.
• Ability to lead people and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across the hotel and deliver clear pre-shift briefings.
• Support and coach team members throughout the day.
• Help guests with questions and sort out problems.
• Work with reception, restaurant and other teams as needed.
• Spot issues early and put them right.
