Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting for an MRP Controller to join a busy Supply Chain team. You will manage material availability, stock levels, supplier performance, and purchase orders, ensuring smooth flow of materials across the business.

The role offers £18.00 per hour with Mon-Fri 08:00–16:30 (37.5 hours/week). Relevant ERP/SAP experience and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in a Purchasing, Materials Control, or Supply Chain role.
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
  • Experience managing materials within complex supply chains.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload.
  • Commitment to working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of consumable, warranty, and repair materials.
  • Raising and managing purchase requisitions and purchase orders through SAP.
  • Monitoring supplier order books and liaising with Category Managers.
  • Managing stock levels and material availability in line with MRP requirements.
  • Producing reports on spend, supplier performance, stock availability, and purchase orders.
  • Supporting engineering change management and new project acquisitions.
  • Working with suppliers and procurement teams to optimise spend.
  • Managing supplier invoice queries and ensuring timely payments.
  • Coordinating logistics between suppliers, depots, and warehouses.
  • Building strong working relationships with internal departments and external suppliers.

MRP Controller

The Best Connection are recruiting for an MRP Controller on behalf of our client, a leading logistics business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced materials planning professional to join a busy Supply Chain team. You'll be responsible for managing material availability, stock levels, supplier performance, and purchase orders whilst ensuring the smooth flow of materials across the business.

£18.00 per hour
Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 (37.5 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of consumable, warranty, and repair materials
