Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Liverpool is seeking Drivers Mates to support deliveries to customer sites, helping ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently and on time. This hands-on role offers variety in a busy transport operation.

You will assist with loading and unloading, check paperwork, and work closely with drivers to maintain high service standards. Previous Driver's Mate experience is helpful but not required; physical fitness and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Physically fit for manual handling and lifting.
• Experience with high-volume orders preferred.
• Good organisational skills to manage workload.
• Previous Driver's Mate experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support drivers with delivery of beer kegs and cases.
• Load, unload and move products safely.
• Check products against delivery paperwork and report discrepancies.
• Assist with vehicle checks, debriefs and end-of-shift tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service while coordinating with drivers.

Pay Rate: £32,392.70

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time - Annualised Hours)

Shift patterns: Monday - Friday. Start times between 05:00 and 06:00

We're looking for Drivers Mates to join our team, supporting deliveries to customer sites and helping ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. This is a hands‑on role that offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to be part of a busy transport operation.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Supporting drivers with the delivery of beer kegs and cases to hospitality locations
• Loading, unloading, and moving products safely using approved manual handling techniques
• Checking products against delivery paperwork and reporting any discrepancies
• Assisting with vehicle checks, debriefs, and end‑of‑shift tasks
• Providing excellent customer service while working closely with drivers and transport teams

this Role Would Suit People Who

• Are physically fit as the role involves lots of manual handling
• Have previous experience of working with volume orders
• Have excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage their own workload
• Previous experience as a Driver's Mate, within a similar environment would be ideal but isn't a deal breaker!
