Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Driver's Mate in Darlington to support two-person delivery teams, assisting with loading and delivering Next Home furnishings directly to customers. You will handle items from 5kg to 120kg, provide friendly service, and use handheld tech for delivery updates.

• Stay in contact with the transport team and provide delivery updates using handheld technology.
• Support the driver to complete between 10 and 40 deliveries per day while following health and safety procedures.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE Working as part of a two-person delivery team, helping to deliver Next Home furnishings directly to customers' homes.

• Assisting with the loading, unloading, and safe handling of home furnishing products ranging from 5kg to 120kg.
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery and acting as a brand ambassador for DHL and Next.
• Staying in contact with the transport team and completing delivery updates using handheld technology.
• Supporting the driver to complete between 10 and 40 deliveries per day while following all health and safety procedures.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO Are physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling throughout the day.

Have previous home delivery, warehouse, retail, or Driver's Mate experience, although full training will be provided.
