Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Darlington, United Kingdom, is seeking a Driver's Mate to support two-person deliveries of Next Home furnishings and ensure safe, on-time handovers. You will help load/unload items up to 120kg, provide excellent customer service, and act as a brand ambassador for DHL and Next at every delivery.

Responsibilities

We're now looking for a Driver's Mate to play a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, supporting the delivery of Next Home furnishings safely and on time while helping to create a great experience for our customers.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Working as part of a two-person delivery team, helping to deliver Next Home furnishings directly to customers' homes.
• Assisting with the loading, unloading, and safe handling of home furnishing products ranging from 5kg to 120kg.
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery and acting as a brand ambassador for DHL and Next.
• Staying in contact with the transport team and completing delivery updates using handheld technology.
• Supporting the driver to complete between 10 and 40 deliveries per day while following all health and safety procedures.

• Are physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling throughout the day.
• Enjoy working in a customer-facing role and providing excellent service.
• Work well as part of a team and have a positive, can-do attitude.
• Can manage their workload effectively and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Have previous home delivery, warehouse, retail, or Driver's Mate experience, although full training will be provided.
