Job summary

BCA Logistics (BCAL) is seeking a Driver Coordinator to manage daily driver operations and assist on-road resources to meet service targets. The role is office-based at the Birmingham head office, with occasional late shifts until 8pm as required.

You will work with drivers to ensure top-tier service, allocate workloads, communicate with recruitment, and provide timely updates to the Customer Service team. Strong Excel skills and IT literacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organised in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the driver team.
• Coordinate with drivers to deliver a 5-star service.
• Build relationships with drivers for coaching and development.
• Allocate drivers based on skills and customer needs.
• Liaise with recruitment to maintain driver coverage.
• Answer inbound/outbound calls to drivers.
• Troubleshoot issues and liaise with Planning Team.
• Provide updates to Customer Service and out-of-hours cover as needed.
• Respond to emails from staff and stakeholders.
