Job summary

BCA Logistics (BCAL) is seeking a Driver Coordinator to manage day-to-day driver operations and support field resources to meet service targets. The role supports the Birmingham-based head office within a nationally operating logistics unit.

You will work closely with drivers, planning, and customer service to maintain a high standard of service, while coordinating recruitment and covering out-of-hours shifts as required. BCAL values reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating drivers and scheduling
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication with drivers and teams

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of our team of drivers
• Collaborate with drivers to deliver a 5-star service that exceeds customer expectations
• Build relationships with drivers for coaching and development
• Allocate drivers based on skills and customer requirements
• Coordinate with Recruitment to ensure driver coverage and discuss recruitment needs
• Handle inbound and outbound calls to drivers
• Provide updates to the Customer Service Team
• Provide out-of-hours cover on a rota basis
• Liaise with Planning Team to ensure smooth journeys
• Respond to emails from team members and stakeholders
