Job summary

BCA Automotive Doncaster is seeking a Driver Liaison to join the transport allocation team. You will help with load building and allocating work to a pool of drivers, ensuring on-time deliveries and strong customer service levels.

Reporting to the Allocation Team Leader, you will coordinate drivers, maximise hours within legal limits, monitor performance, and keep the helpdesk updated on delays while maintaining daily driver communication and compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A–C), including English and Maths.
Experience in Driver Liaison / Traffic Planning / Allocation role or similar.
Experience dealing with internal and external customers.
Good knowledge of UK geography and drivers’ working time legislation.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the most efficient use of nominated Drivers and update Vision with current information.
Maximise Drivers’ available hours while staying within working time legislation.
Monitor Driver performance and address inefficiencies or poor practices.
Update the team on likely failed or late deliveries and advise on priorities.
Route Drivers to minimise empty miles and ensure workload is met in real time.
Plan Drivers for scheduled maintenance in line with compliance requirements.
