Job summary

BCA Logistics in Birmingham (head office) is seeking a Driver Coordinator to manage the day-to-day driver operations and assist our on-road resources to meet service targets and SLA commitments.

You will work closely with drivers, Recruitment, Planning and the Customer Service Team to ensure optimal coverage, provide timely updates, and deliver a 5-star service. This office-based role requires strong organisation and communication.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of operating procedures and customer SLAs.
• Experience coordinating drivers and planning routes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the driver team.
• Work with drivers to deliver a 5-star service that exceeds expectations.
• Coordinate with recruitment to ensure driver coverage.
• Take inbound and make outbound calls to drivers.
• Provide accurate and proactive updates to the Customer Service Team.
• Provide out of hour’s emergency cover on a rota basis.
• Liaise with Planning Team to ensure journeys go smoothly.
• Respond to emails from team members and stakeholders.
• Be highly organised and able to multitask.
