Job summary

Andretti Formula E in Banbury, England, invites a Vehicle Performance Engineer to join the Driver in the Loop simulator team and contribute to a wide range of engineering tasks ahead of the coming season.

You will support simulator sessions, analyse car, tyre and system data, and create lightweight automation tools to unlock performance gains in current and future projects, while coordinating with the race team at the track.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, control systems and mathematical modelling.
• Experience with Driver in the Loop simulators would be advantageous.
• Clear written and verbal communication of engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support Driver in the Loop and Engineer in the Loop simulator sessions.
• Contribute to pre-event and post-event analyses of car, tyre, systems, and strategy performance.
• Analyse data from car, rig, simulator and models to unlock performance potential.
• Create automation through developing software tools and models.
• Assist in a variety of engineering tasks and projects.
• Attend Ops Room at the track to support the race team.
• Follow engineering procedures for assembly, operation and safety.
• Promote teamwork and effective communications across personnel and departments.
