Job summary

Williams F1 Team is seeking a hands-on operator for the full-motion Driver-in-the-Loop simulator. You will own the operation, maintenance, and execution of sessions across Driver Academy, Heritage, and Commercial programmes, ensuring reliability and precision.

Working with drivers, engineers, and commercial partners, you will configure models, set up hardware and software, lead sessions on the day, and manage downtime with a proactive maintenance schedule to keep the calendar balanced.

Qualifications

• Experience operating simulation, real-time control, or complex technical facilities.
• Practical mechanical and electrical skills, including basic repairs.
• Familiarity with motion platforms and simulation software such as rfpro or Beckhoff TwinCAT is a bonus.
• Strong data acquisition and telemetry knowledge.
• Methodical session planning, configuration, and data management.
• High standards of documentation across maintenance and configurations.
• Solution-focused, proactive, and able to ask for help when needed.
• Strong communicator with drivers, engineers, and commercial stakeholders alike.

Responsibilities

• Own the operation, maintenance, and execution of the DIL simulator.
• Plan and deliver simulator sessions end to end.
• Configure vehicle and track models, set up hardware and software.
• Lead sessions on the day and minimize downtime.
• Manage the simulator calendar balancing competing demands.
• Maintain the facility to high reliability and professionalism.
