Job summary

Williams F1 Team is seeking an experienced operator and maintainer for its full-motion Driver-in-the-Loop (DIL) simulator. You will run non-F1 activities including Driver Academy, Testing of Previous Cars, Heritage, and Commercial programmes.

You will configure vehicle and track models, set up hardware/software, and lead sessions with drivers, engineers, and commercial stakeholders, while maintaining uptime and high standards of reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience operating simulation facilities or similar complex technical systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with motion platforms and simulation software is a plus.
• Good data acquisition and telemetry knowledge.
• Methodical session planning and data management.
• Good documentation practice across maintenance and configs.
• Proactive, ownership-minded, calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication with drivers, engineers, and commercial partners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver simulator sessions end to end.
• Configure vehicle and track models for sessions.
• Set up hardware and software for each session.
• Lead sessions on the day and ensure reliability and professionalism.
• Maintain the facility with a proactive maintenance schedule.
• Manage the simulator calendar to balance demand and downtime.
