Job summary

Andretti Formula E is seeking a Vehicle Performance Engineer - Simulator to join the Banbury team. You will help manage Driver in the Loop and Engineer in the Loop sessions, analyse performance data, and develop software tools to unlock potential in current and future race cars.

The role requires a degree in mechanical, aeronautical or automotive engineering, strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, and experience with DIL simulators.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical, aeronautical or automotive engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and control systems.
• Experience with Driver in the Loop (DIL) simulators is advantageous.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Driver in the Loop and Engineer in the Loop simulator sessions.
• Contribute to pre-event and post-event analyses of car, tyre, systems and strategy performance.
• Analyze car, rig, simulator and model data to unlock performance potential.
• Create automation through developing software tools and models.
• Assist in a variety of engineering tasks and projects.
• Attend Ops Room to support the race team at the track.
• Follow engineering procedures and safety protocols.
• Promote teamwork and effective communications between departments.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of work areas and tools.
